BOUTIQUE BEER TASTINGS AND TOURS

The ultimate event for anyone who has ever enjoyed a glass of beer!

Wild About Wellington offers a unique experience to visitors to Wellington, and locals alike; a chance to savour boutique beer from small breweries alongside a beer expert.

This is one of our most popular experiences, and one not to be missed!

Let of our beer experts take you on journey of tastes as you experience the best in boutique beer or craft beer. Excellent food is served at our tastings and we receive nothing but the highest praise for our tastings and tour events.

"He proves to be a convivial and informative host, and an expert on all things hoppy. He deftly guides us through the potentially daunting options. The appley pork perfectly complements the citrus flavours of the Belgium-style Tuatara Ardennes..."

"Glasses and tapas come and go as we sip and sample. In between dishes we examine roasted barley, hops and other interesting items Neil has brought along..."

An excerpt from Inspire magazine

Our small group tours now overnight in Wellington so as to show the cultural aspect of living in NZ - as a balance to all the activity.

Wellington culture is traditionally held up as the cafe scene and Te Papa - with the Cable car if you have the time. Wild About Wellington provide an awesome beer tasting experience that is a true addition to Kiwi Culture and warrants an inclusion in any itinerary. The madly passionate Jennifer Looman provides equally passionate beer experts who provide an insightful and humorous insight into part of our culture which is varied, informative and entertaining. The experience sets up the rest of the evening and leaves our clients believing they have just had one of those special personal interactions that everyone seeks to provide the brag factor when they get home. Go Wild - about Wellington!

Beer drinkers have been duped by mass marketing into the belief that it makes sense to drink only one brand of beer. In truth, brand loyalty in beer makes no more sense than 'vegetable loyalty' in food. Can you imagine it? "No thanks, I'll pass on the mashed potatoes, carrots, bread and roast beef. Me, I'm strictly a broccoli man."Stephen Beaumont (What I've Learned About Beer - January 2002)
